{"id":7539,"date":"2024-03-08T15:11:00","date_gmt":"2024-03-08T12:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dialogueculture.org\/?p=7539"},"modified":"2024-05-24T22:38:26","modified_gmt":"2024-05-24T19:38:26","slug":"international-womens-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dialogueculture.org\/ku\/international-womens-day\/","title":{"rendered":"International Women&#8217;s Day 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On International Women&#8217;s Day 2024, the Dialogue and Culture Organization (DCO), in collaboration with Kurdsat Broadcasting Corporation\u2014one of Iraq&#8217;s foremost institutions\u2014initiated the &#8220;Women are the Symbol of Always Spring&#8221; project. This campaign was designed to provide essential support to vulnerable women by mobilizing the medical community in Sulaymaniyah. Doctors were encouraged to offer free consultations or substantial discounts of 75%, 50%, or 30% for one week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure the effective implementation of this initiative, Sulaymaniyah was strategically divided into four zones, focusing on areas with a high concentration of clinics. A dedicated team of 80 to 100 DCO volunteers was organized into small groups and tasked with visiting over a thousand doctors to secure their participation. This collaborative effort aimed to make healthcare more accessible to women in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project achieved remarkable success:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Over 5,000 women benefited from free consultations, receiving critical medical advice and care without any financial burden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>More than 8,000 additional consultations were provided at significantly discounted rates, making healthcare services more affordable for a larger number of women.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In an extraordinary display of generosity and commitment, 67 free surgeries were performed, addressing urgent medical needs and improving the lives of many women.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative not only highlighted the community&#8217;s dedication to women&#8217;s health and well-being but also set a precedent for future collaborations aimed at supporting vulnerable populations. The &#8220;Women are the Symbol of Always Spring&#8221; project stands as a testament to what can be achieved when organizations and volunteers come together with a shared vision of compassion and
